Reconstruction

Property damage reconstruction

Rebuilt to code, documented throughout — from initial damage through final rebuild.

How we work

A rebuild is a construction project, not a repair call

When damage is severe, the fix isn't a quick patch — it's a managed construction project with its own scope, permits, trades, and inspections. We develop that scope by area, trade, and phase; coordinate every subcontractor and inspection; and document concealed conditions and change orders as they surface, so nothing gets lost between the damage and the finished space.

DryBoston Restoration handles the emergency mitigation — water extraction, drying, cleaning, mold remediation. Total Contracting takes it from there: the structural repairs, the code-required upgrades, and everything through the final walkthrough. One coordinated process, one point of accountability.

Our process

How we manage your project

A consistent, documented process is what separates a managed reconstruction project from a series of repairs.

01

Inspect and define

We evaluate the property, document visible conditions, and identify the information required to develop a defensible scope.

02

Build the scope

We define the work by area, trade, material, and project phase. Hidden conditions remain subject to field verification.

03

Plan and coordinate

We coordinate permits, materials, employees, subcontractors, inspections, and scheduling.

04

Perform the work

Work is completed according to the approved scope, applicable codes, manufacturer instructions, and documented field conditions.

05

Document changes

Additional or concealed conditions are photographed, documented, and addressed through written scope revisions or change orders.

06

Complete and close out

We perform a final walkthrough, complete required corrections, and document project completion.

Insurance and documentation. Coverage and claim-payment decisions are made by the insurance carrier. Total Contracting prepares scopes, estimates, documentation, and repair recommendations based on observed conditions and applicable construction requirements.
